• Ceremony: Imperial Palace
• Post-Ceremony Hanging Around: Platinum Hotel
I heard that one of the challenges for the wedding location was having the guests find the ceremony site. It didn’t seem that hard to me, but I live in Las Vegas and am used to hotel/resorts being mazes, so maybe that’s why. I met Melissa’s parents and grandparents sitting at the sportsbook very close to the ceremony site and waited with them for Melissa to arrive, during which time Melissa’s father taught me a new word (some union jargon) that I have shamefully forgotten. We found Flamingo’s garden area to be a great spot for shooting after the ceremony, then we went back to the Platinum for snacking and relaxation before going out for a little more photography after. Melissa had guessed before going to the Platinum that many of the people would have already taken their dress attire off as soon as the ceremony was over, and she was 100% correct. Laid-back might be a good description for their family, and very good to work with.
