Las Vegas Wedding Photographer Joey Allen provides wedding and engagement photography in Las Vegas and surrounding areas. I believe it's important to provide high quality photos for clients, and I think everyone deserves to have good photos of their wedding day without overspending. I continue to provide everything in high-resolution on DVD disc as my standard service in order to maintain low costs that I can pass onto my clients, while also allowing the greatest flexibility for clients to purchase their own photos. I work to provide both complete and artistic representations of the wedding day while remaining fairly inconspicuous during the appropriate times. If the wedding day gets hectic, I remain calm and assist the bride in not feeling stressed. My wedding photography style is largely photojournalistic, with posing limited mostly to specific times with group formals and bride and groom alone. Sometimes my photography is very close and direct and in-your-face, and other times I keep a good distance. I am extremely adaptive to my clients when it comes to style and overall look and feel. Everyone draws out different aspects of my photography when I am working with them, and I enjoy the variety. I use mostly natural light whenever possible, but I use off-camera lighting with various flashes as needed. The occasions when I most often use additional lighting are receptions and nighttime photography. Some photographers gel their flashes to match the ambient light color (usually incandescent or tungsten), while others don't. I do, because I feel that it produces a more professional look and I would much rather be creating similar light color to the available light when editing the photos later. I don't like having orange mixed with blue, I prefer mixing orange with orange. I have been photographing weddings since 2008, and my entire time photographing weddings has been spent in Las Vegas. I have shot three weddings abroad: One in Seattle, WA, another in Corona, CA and the last in Sacramento, CA. Most of my clients find me online, although a few are referrals. I have shot about six LDS weddings over four years and enjoy photographing LDS weddings. I shoot mostly solo for myself and do not usually have an assistant. I have been second shooter and assistant for Olga Wilson of dottphotography.com at least six times, and I admire her skill with photography and photoshop both. Before I started wedding photography, I had a few years of experience as a portrait and event photographer. I was already using off-camera lighting before I started weddings, and so having to use similar lighting for receptions came easily for me. I want my clients to enjoy the wedding and engagement photos I provide for them, and I always work to provide the best quality possible. I do photography strip tours often, as they are in high demand by many people having their wedding in Las Vegas. Many people enjoy the themes of Fremont Street and the Las Vegas Strip for their wedding photos, and I have found some good spots in both areas.
